Amin Lab


Maria is a second-year masters student in the Amin Lab. She graduated from URI in 2023 with a B.S. in Dietetics. She was a part of the Amin Lab as undergraduate assistant for research in the community nutrition education setting and now leads research pertaining to food access among college students and the URI Free Farmers’ Market as a graduate student.


Maria’s research interest is outreach work that promotes food access. Her thesis is focused on the URI Free Farmers’ Market and how it relates to food access among college students.
