Health Psychology/Behavioral Medicine

Healthy Psychology and Behavioral Medicine involves integrating aspects from multiple health-related areas in order to best understand and treat individual illness. By incorporating behavioral, psychosocial, and biomedical information, clinicians work to develop treatment plans that will maximize health outcomes, minimize barriers to health behavior change, and promote prevention.

The Behavioral Medicine team at the PCC is supervised by Dr. Caitlin Burditt, Ph.D.  Clinicians receive additional clinical supervision from licensed Psychologists at each of our community training sites, including South County Hospital, Memorial Hospital, Rhode Island Hospital, and in many other healthcare settings throughout Rhode Island.
