Dr. Lindsey Anderson

Biography

Dr. Anderson received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rhode Island in 2011. She completed her internship and post-doctoral training with Psychological Centers and Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. Dr. Anderson has specialized training in Interpersonal, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Existential therapy and has provided individual, family, and group treatment. Dr. Anderson has worked with both adults and children in both clinic- and home-based settings.  Dr. Anderson is responsible for oversight of clinical training of graduate students and assumes administrative responsibility for all direct and indirect services within the PCC. She also serves as a direct Clinical Supervisor for clinicians working with URI Student Athletes, and Director of Externship Training for the Clinical Psychology Graduate program.  

In addition to her role as Director of the PCC, Dr. Anderson serves the Coordinator for Mental Health First Aid at URI and and Co-Chair of the URI JED Campus Initiative that began during the 2018-2019 academic year.
