About
The Office of Healthcare Workforce Development offers Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited education programs to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals covering a wide range of clinical, regulatory, administrative, and general pharmacy topics. Our mission is to provide continuing pharmacy education (CPE) and certificate training programs, promoting lifelong learning for pharmacy professionals.
We provide quality continuing pharmacy education that supports continuous improvement through the delivery of knowledge, application, and practice based programs. We help pharmacists and pharmacy technicians maintain and enhance their professional competencies and meet re-licensure requirements, and we support our College of Pharmacy pharmacist preceptors by providing preceptor development programs.
The office is also the home to a variety of Healthcare Workforce Transformation projects through URI’s Real Jobs RI Partnership, Transforming Health in RI, with the RI Department of Labor and Training. We work with the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, the Department of Health and other state institutions to bring targeted training programs to healthcare providers in all practice settings throughout the state.
