Computational Social Science Ph.D.

Program Requirements

A minimum of 66 credit hours post-baccalaureate is required for the CSS Ph.D. All CSS Ph.D. students are required to complete the MS in Statistics degree (non-thesis option) as part of the CSS Ph.D. program of study.  The MS in Statistics curriculum requirements for students in the CSS Ph.D. program include 24 credits in required coursework and 9 elective credits (33 credits total) distributed as follows:

All degree candidates are required to prepare a Program of Study in consultation with their major professor and doctoral committee. A defense of dissertation is required. All credit requirements are minimum recommendations. The major professor and doctoral committee may require additional coursework and research credits, with specific requirements made on a case-by-case basis.
