Biography

Dr. Skip Mark is an Associate Professor of Political Science, he directs the Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies, holds the Sylvia-Chandley Peace Professorship, and serves as a Faculty Affiliate of Africana Studies. He is the author of “Science and the Study of Human Rights”. A co-director of the CIRIGHTS Data Project — which measures government protection of more than two dozen human rights globally — he focuses his research on human rights, measurement, conflict, atrocity prevention, labor rights, housing, and political economy. 

Professor Mark is currently the Director of the Center for Nonviolence & Peace Studies.
