Dr. Jeong is an assistant professor of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rhode Island. He is a Principal Investigator of the URI Power Electronics Lab.

Our lab focuses on high-performance power converters for electric transports, AI-based design tool for Power Electronics, wireless power transfer, and battery self-heating. - New Publication March 2024 – Xueshen’s first Journal Paper, “A High Efficiency Boost Pre-Regulator Merging with an Asymmetric LLC Standby Converter in DC Power Distribution System for Data Center,” is accepted on IEEE TPEL (Impact Factor: 6.7). Congrats, Xueshen.
- Conference March 2024 Prof. Jeong’s collaboration paper with Georgia Southern University has been accepted in the IEEE 2024 IEEE Transportation Electrification Conference & Expo (ITEC), titled “Optimizing EV Chargers Location via Integer Programming.”
- Competition Feb. 2024 – The URI IFEC Team has a second-round presentation at APEC 2024. Thank you, Team!
- Funding Jan 2024 Prof. Jeong’s proposal as a Primary-PI, titled “Real-time Simulator and Educational Laboratory for Advanced Electric Transportation Technologies,” has been selected for funding from the Champlin Foundation.
- Funding Jan 2024 – Prof. Jeong’s proposal as a PI, titled “Toward High Reliability: Novel Power Conversion System and Power Management Control for Water Monitoring Stations,” has been selected for funding under the USGS NGWOS External Research and Development Project.
