Who must disclose?

Anyone responsible for the design, conduct, or reporting of research at the URI — including principal investigators, project directors, consultants, graduate students, and others — who receives and / or proposes to receive funding from external sources.

What must Be disclosed?

When must disclosures occur?

  • Before submitting an application for external funding
  • Annually during the term of the external funding
  • Within 30 days of following the date on which an SFI or Outside Activity arises or changes

How are disclosures submitted?

Disclosures are completed via the InfoEd system:

  • Log into InfoEd (URI ID and password are required to log in).
  • Click on the “Conflict of Interest and Commitment” tab in the left toolbar.
  • Click on “Create/Update Disclosure.”
    1. If a disclosure form has been previously completed, select “Edit/Submit Disclosure” to edit and submit the form.
    2. If a disclosure form has not been previously completed, select “Create Initial Disclosure” to create an initial disclosure.

What about award subrecipients?

Sponsor disclosure requirements pass down to award subrecipients. See the FCOI Information for Subrecipients guidance document for more information. Subrecipients should contact the Office of Research Integrity for assistance.
