Project Description

Smart Ocean Systems Laboratory at GSO, URI plans to deploy Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) to expand the existing observational array in Narragansett Bay.
Several deployments will be done in the East Passage. The AUV will be equipped with a high-resolution camera, CTD, and sonar systems to collect high resolution water column and seafloor measurements.
The undergraduate will work with the research team on AUV deployments and perform data analysis on the scientific measurements.
