As an ocean engineer, I am interested in implementing underwater navigation using acoustic positioning and Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM); developing Intelligent path-planning system for underwater gliders piloting with minimum human intervention; in-situ path-planning for ocean features delineation; designing novel unmanned platform for underwater civil structure inspection; and multi-agent collaboration.

As a oceanographer, I am interested in mesoscale eddies including physical, biological and chemical characteristics; and coastal environment, e.g., hypoxia events, seafloor habitat, and sub-mesoscale processes.
