Soundbites are two-minute flash talks that give RI C-AIM investigators the unique opportunity to highlight their research and broader impacts work throughout our research community.

Important Dates
- Friday, Oct. 8 – Last day to register to give a Soundbite presentation
- Friday, Oct. 15 – Soundbites Warmup at Corliss Auditorium, URI Graduate School of Oceanography, 4-7 pm
- Friday, Oct. 15 – Single-slide Soundbite Presentations due to Shaun Kirby, RI C-AIM Communications & Outreach Coordinator, via Google Drive (link will be provided via email)
We highly encourage submissions from any faculty member, post-doc or student* conducting RI C-AIM research. Students who have also participated in RI C-AIM programming, such as the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF), SURF+, the RI C-AIM Career Development Program, and Vis-a-Thon, are also encouraged to give a Soundbite based on those professional development activities.
Soundbites Warm-Up
Soundbites presenters are invited to attend this informal workshop on Friday, Oct. 15, 4-7 pm and practice their flash-style talks, as well as gain valuable feedback from colleagues. Attendees are not required to attend for the entire workshop. Guidance materials will also be provided by URI’s Metcalf Institute.
