- Postdoctoral Researcher
Dr. Cheng was a postdoctoral researcher in the Rynearson and Menden-Deuer Labs. She worked on predator-prey interactions in the plankton using molecular tools. Her background in bioinformatics /computational biology has allowed her to apply comprehensive computational tools to elucidate the hidden mechanisms of biological processes. She has strong interests in broad biological questions such as evolution of prokaryotes supposed to exist on the early Earth, heterotrophic protist predator and prey interactions, human disease and cancer. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Felicia Goodrum’s lab, Department of Immunobiology and Bio5 Institute, at the University of Arizona.
