Biography

My name is Jan Engel, I am a German Dual Degree Graduate Student in Systems Engineering at The University of Rhode Island and Business Engineering at Braunschweig Institute of Technology. My major area of study is in production technology, process optimization, and electric mobility. My working experience includes international operating companies in the automotive industry and the automation sector. Currently, I am writing my Master’s Thesis about industrialized recycling processes for electric vehicle lithium-ion batteries. My future research interests in the area of alternative drive technologies and autonomous driving. I am interested in the future change of mobility and the development of the automotive industry.
