Biography

Hi, my name is Caroline Hammett, I am a PhD student in Industrial & Systems Engineering with a focus in human factors. I am originally from New Jersey, I received my B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Sustainable Food and Agriculture Systems from the University of Rhode Island in 2019. My senior year at URI, I collaborated with the Sustainable Innovative Solutions (SIS) Lab on my undergraduate research relating to the sustainability of soil systems. I am joyed to continue studying sustainable systems in the SIS Lab, now with a focus on the sustainability of team performance. I have always held an interest in human psychology, and why we do the things we do. I am excited to intertwine my studies of  humans factors engineering, sustainable systems and team performance to expand  my knowledge and help our world become more sustainable inside and out.

Outside of school I enjoy doing  yoga, snowboarding, hiking, people watching & traveling.
