February 28: Careers in Scientific Review and Management

Panelists:

Anika Dzierlenga is a scientific program director in the NIEHS Genes, Environment, and Health Branch. Dzierlenga’s portfolio covers a variety of topics using basic and translational approaches focusing on the interplay between environmental exposures and the human microbiome in the development of toxicity and disease, and projects on marine toxicology.

Esra Mutlu is a chemist and board-certified toxicologist. She is currently at the US EPA in a detail as a program coordinator for one of EPA’s assessment products. She joined EPA as a ‘Research Outreach and Communication Specialist’ and has been serving as a translational scientist and technical point of contact for communicating EPA research and translating complex scientific topics for a range of audiences.
