Two TD Nation Grads Awarded Alumni of the Game

The URI Alumni of Color Network (ACN) provides personal/professional development, networking, advocacy, and community building opportunities for URI alumni and scholars of color.

On Tuesday, February 27th, Talent Development alum and ACN Co-Chairs Bobby Britto-Oliveira (06’, 11’) and Wynston D. Wilson (08’, 13’) were presented the award for Alumni of the Game. This award is presented at A-10 Men’s Basketball home games and recognizes URI alumni who demonstrate the best of what URI graduates are all about—successful careers combined with service to their communities and the University.

Both Co-Chairs accepted the award on behalf of the ACN, their current membership and for those who paved the way for them to navigate through URI as both scholars and professionals of color. The ACN empowers people of color to self-advocate while helping them understand their true value and place in this world.
