Talent Development Celebrates the Legacy of Dr. King

I AM BECAUSE YOU ARE, embraces the idea that humans cannot exist in isolation. Our connection is deeply rooted and necessary for the advancement of humanity.

50 years ago today, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated, in response to his assassination, the Talent Development Program, formerly, the Program for Disadvantaged Youth, was created to continue the work our our forefather.

From “I Have a Dream” to “ I May Not Get There With You”, we are reminded of all he generations of freedom fighters who sacrificed so that we could continue our fight.

With the welcoming of Talent Development’s 50th class, we are reminded daily of our commitment to justice and opportunity for all and that our legacy is connected to that of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We are forever grateful for his courage and leadership.
