TD Nation Scholar, Paola Moreno, from the incoming class of 2014 for completed her senior capstone project on body shaming.

Oxford Dictionary defines body shaming as the action or practice of humiliating someone by making mocking or critical comments about their body shape or size. Paola, who is a double major in Psychology and Gender and Women’s Studies, capstone project is appropriately titled “Simply Beautiful”. Her work was presented at the Showcase of Undergraduate Research, Scholarly and Creative Works. Her work featured real life examples of her own experiences and that of other women who too are scholars at URI. The Talent Development Program commends Paola on her great work and courage. We are proud to have her as member of the TD Nation community.
