Application Deadlines
December 1st – Nursing, Pharmacy, and Engineering applicants
December 15th – All other applicants
Required Materials
It is the applicant’s responsibility to request these documents. Your school counselors can assist you in submitting the following documents electronically via the Common Application.
All admission documents must be submitted through the Common Application no later than January 15.
DO NOT SEND DOCUMENTS DIRECTLY TO TALENT DEVELOPMENT.
- Official transcript(s) of applicants who are currently in high school must include first-quarter senior year grades.
- Letter of recommendation
- Official copy of the GED scores (if applicable)
- Official copy of the CCRI transcript with first semester grades (if applicable)
* For the 2023 admissions cycle, URI is test optional. You do not have to submit your SAT or ACT scores for consideration.
Application Process
- Apply to TD through the Common Application
- Check the box on the Common Application to indicate interest in Talent Development
- Enter the Application Fee Waiver Code
- High school students may obtain a Fee Waiver Code from their school counselors
- CCRI transfer students and those not currently enrolled in school should contact the Admissions office at 401-874-7000 to obtain a Fee Waiver Code
- Complete the TD Supplemental Essay (250-500 words) and include responses to the following questions:
- Are you a student from an underrepresented or underserved population? If so, please describe any personal obstacle or academic circumstances that led you to apply to the Talent Development program.
- What does your support network look like right now? What types of academic support might Talent Development provide for you as you transition to college?
- Please share any additional information that you feel would be helpful to the Talent Development team.
