Why do I have to select a refund preference?

Although you might not currently expect money from URI, you may receive money back in the future. After all, you may drop a class, make an over payment, or apply for a loan to pay for off-campus housing, for example.  Establishing your refund preference now ensures you’ll always have this money without a delay.

Who is BankMobile Disbursements?

Why have I received instructions from BankMobile Disbursements?

Instructions on how to select a refund preference with BankMobile are sent to all students following orientation.  It  provides information about the refund delivery options available to you.  Once you have reviewed your choices and made your decision, simply log into e-Campus, navigate to URI Student Financials, and click “My Refunds” to start the selection process.  For more information, click here.

What are my options for receiving refund money?

  • DEPOSIT TO AN EXISITING ACCOUNT – Money is transferred to an existing account the same business day BankMobile receives funds from your school.  Typically, it takes 1 – 2 business days for the receiving bank to credit the money to your account.
  • DEPOSIT TO A BANKMOBILE VIBE ACCOUNT – If you open a BankMobile Vibe checking account (upon identity verification), money is deposited the same business day BankMobile receives funds from your school.
  • PAPER CHECK DELIVERED BY USPS – A check is mailed the same business day BankMobile receives funds from your school, provided receipt is within daily cutoff times.  Typically, it takes 5 – 7 business days for the check to arrive, depending on USPS First-Class® delivery timeframes.

Where can I access free ATM withdrawals from my BankMobile Vibe Checking Account?

BankMobile Vibe account holders have free ATM access at more than 55,000 Allpoint ATMs in the U.S.  (ATM availability varies by location).  Allpoint ATMs are commonly found in local retail stores frequented by our students.  To find the nearest Allpoint ATM location, click here or download the free Allpoint app. 

Can I change my preference for receiving money from URI?

Yes.  You can make changes at any time by logging into your account here.  Please be aware that your new selection will only impact future money you receive from URI.
