URI Undergraduate Project Grant program awards about 100 grants each academic year.

Milana Cepeda’s undergraduate research project idea comes to life with support from the Office of Undergraduate Research and Innovation.

Four URI students, who received a URI undergraduate research grant for the project, take part in a study and are the first in the network to publish their work.

 University of Rhode Island sophomore Myles Wagner has been awarded the Ernest F. Hollings Scholarship from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the most prestigious scholarship awarded to undergraduates studying the marine sciences. Read more about Myles.

University of Rhode Island seniors Naomi Pajarillo and Avery McNamara are part of MARC U*STAR, a new program designed to boost access to scientific research careers among under-represented populations.
