Biography

Kathy Conlon is a native Rhode Islander, having attended Boston College receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Salve Regina University receiving a Master’s degree in Administration of Justice. After working as a Federal Probation Officer for 11 years, she changed careers into higher education. She worked as an Academic Advisor at the Community College or RI for 5 years and as a Senior Academic Advisor for URI’s College of Business for the past 15 years. Her father was a career Navy Pilot and her husband was a Military Police Officer in the Air Force as well as a RI State Trooper. Kathy has two children who have attended URI. One daughter is now a Nurse and her second daughter is a senior dietetics major applying to Registered Dietetics graduate programs. Kathy is active on the URI campus and enjoys anything involving the outdoors. As part of a military family, Kathy has lived in many places, supported NAPS students and once flew in the back seat with the Blue Angels. Kathy lives in South Kingstown and is going on her 16th year as a URI employee.
