3/5 HERstory: Open Mic Poetry Slam

Herstory is an intimate celebration honoring the women who serve as the unsung backbones of our society. This event, curated by OUTSPOKEN by Simply Sara, invites women from all walks of life to share in a night of empowerment, storytelling, and connection. Featured poet Ariel Tavares will grace the stage, setting the tone for the evening. The highlight of the night will be the roll call for the open mic, where we hope to hear powerful stories from the URI community.

An afternoon of singin’ and swingin’ featuring saxophonist Courtney Wright with the SheBop Swing Orchestra, Jess Destramp, director. Also performing will be JazzHers, the SheBop Junior Swing Orchestra and the URI In The Pocket jazz choir, Atla DeChamplain, director.
