CELS alumnus ready with second book, gives interview
Garrett Miller, a 1989 CELS graduate in natural resources, is making sound waves these days with a You Tube interview on his 2010 book called Hire on a WHIM, which was designed to give employers some practical guidelines when it comes to hiring people and give pointers to college students who are seeking jobs.
Miller’s interview can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDwirIgTFtU, and in the process he gives a hint on his second book on the hiring/applying syndrome called Hired Right out of College, From Classes to Calling.
Miller says he has high hopes that his second book will exceed the success of the first one which he penned, drawing on his experiences when he was employed at Pfizer for 19 years. After that stint he started a firm which was designed to help companies become more efficient in this electronic age.
The title of the first book includes the acronym WHIM which stands for Work ethic, Humility, Integrity and Maturity.
