The Chinese Language Flagship Program at the University of Rhode Island is one of eight unique programs in the United States where students can progress from a beginner level to professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese. With a community of expert faculty, fellow students of all levels, and staff providing support every step of the way, you will feel confident and prepared as you venture into the world.
As a Chinese Flagship Program student you will complete majors in Chinese and the major of your choice. Flagship students are pursuing degrees in everything from textile marketing to psychology, and from biomedical engineering to economics. You will develop advanced discipline-specific Chinese skills, cross-cultural understanding, and real-world work experience in China.
