The Master of Arts in Education with Teacher Certification Program (M.A./TCP) is for students who have an undergraduate degree in an area other than elementary or secondary education, and who want to obtain their teacher certification along with their master’s degree.
Students admitted to the M.A./TCP program for elementary or secondary (English, history/social studies, language, math, or science) will follow the appropriate teacher certification option. Secondary education will follow both the specialization content area requirements in these areas, (English, history/social studies, language, math, or science) and the appropriate secondary education courses teacher certification option. You may complete your certification requirements before completing your M.A. degree.
