July 30 through August 5, 2017 in Kingston, RI
Join URI Faculty & Guest Artists for a week of woodwind, brass, and percussion chamber music! This unique and intimate camp is an opportunity to perform solo repertoire with an accompanist and chamber music with new friends. This overnight music camp will immerse your student in a high-level music making experience with an excellent faculty of professors, applied teachers, guest artists, and piano accompanists. The camp will offer experiences in chamber music rehearsals, section rehearsals, private lessons, interactive workshops, evening concerts and activities, culmination performances, and even a day at the beach!
Housing and Dining:
All residential students will be staying in dorms based on a double occupancy rate. There will be 1 trained student counselor per 10 student campers, and the student counselors will shadow the musicians’ schedules throughout the week of the camp, fully supervising students at mealtimes, rehearsals, flex hours, the beach day, pool time, evening activities, and walks between the dorms and all other points on campus. The students residing on campus will be provided 3 meals per full day, and commuter students 2 meals per day at the dining hall.
