Heather Johnson teaches in the Department of Writing and Rhetoric at the University of Rhode Island and works as a facilitator for the Center for Digital Storytelling, a national organization which believes that listening deeply and telling stories can lead to social justice. She chose to participate in the nonviolence workshop in preparation for a new course called Immigrant Voices.
