The Rhode Island Nursing Education Center is a new 133,000-square-foot facility featuring state-of-the-art technology to support experiential learning. It’s located at 350 Eddy St., Providence, near leading healthcare facilities and collaborative interdisciplinary institutions, including The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
The Center serves URI’s second-semester juniors, seniors and graduate students.
Transportation to and from RINEC
Undergraduate nursing students who study at RINEC have access to free bus transportation directly to the Center via RIPTA. Download RIPTA #62/#66 map and schedule (pdf). Students who have purchased a URI parking pass may park at the Rhode Island Convention Center and take a shuttle to RINEC. The shuttle is free to all students. Shuttles run every 20 minutes and are tracked online.

Parking Garage Passes
Parking passes for the Rhode Island Convention Center and the South Street Parking Garage are included in the price of a URI parking pass. Get a parking pass from Parking and Transportation services.
Student ID cards
The Rhode Island Nursing Education Center will issue all of its students an ID card. The ID is necessary to enter classrooms.
Undergraduate students: Pick up your ID card on the first day of classes at the “Welcome” table located outside of the dean’s suite, first floor, room 101.
Graduate students: Pick up your card from Eric Berretta in the dean’s suite, first floor, room 101, before your first class.
Dining at RINEC
Students have the option of purchasing food from on-site food carts or dining at one of a number of fine restaurants and cafes in the area.
