Since the beginning, the URI SNPhA chapter has given a voice to the under represented within the pharmacy profession and the greater Rhode Island community. This SNPhA chapter remains committed to its chapter mission and the national SNPhA mission. This unique organization does community outreach to spread awareness about health issues that affect minority populations. In the past, chapter initiatives have coincided with national initiatives including HIV/AIDS awareness and Chronic Kidney Disease awareness as well as Rhode Island based initiatives like CurrentCare. Together, we serve the underrepresented. Together, we keep doors open.
Eligibility: All pharmacy students, regardless of class.
Mission: SNPhA is an educational service association for pharmacy students who are concerned about pharmacy and healthcare issues. The purpose of SNPhA is to execute programs geared toward improving community health in underrepresented areas and serving as a voice for minorities in health-related professions.
