Kids and teens: Three ways to get involved

Rhode Island 4-H has long- and short-term programs on a variety of topics from animal care to public speaking. There are three ways to get involved:

Community clubs: These meet monthly for an hour or two a week. Take a look at our list of community club options, and contact the leader associated with that club.

Project clubs: These are short-term clubs usually meeting for six-to-eight weeks and dedicated to a specific project. Contact Kristina Horan, for more information.

Independent memberships: For youth who are unable to join a community or project club, independent membership may be an option. As an independent member, a child or teen works on a project of their choice and may participate in all state and district 4-H events and programs. Contact Kristina Horan, for more information.

Contact must be made at least five (5) business days in advance of the date of required services or anticipated participation.
