Eric earned his B.S. in Small Vessel Operations from Maine Maritime Academy.  Since his graduation, he has worked as a professional mariner on sail training vessels – a career which has taken him to ports in Greenland, Europe, North Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific; most recently he has sailed on harbor and coastal tugs out of New York City.  He holds a 1600 ton license as Mate, Steam, Motor and Auxiliary Sail, and as Mate of Towing Vessels, both endorsed for Ocean routes.
