The B.A. in Music combines a program of performance, history and theory with more in-depth study in the liberal arts, and offers concentrations in Music, Music History and Literature, and Jazz Studies. The Bachelor of Music degree is the first-level professional degree in music, with concentrations offered in Performance, Music Education, Composition, and Music Therapy.

Entry Requirements: Bachelor of Arts
- Complete 24 units with a minimum GPA of 2.00 or higher.
- Admission to the College of Arts and Sciences with a major in Music pursuing the B. A. degree requires an audition in the principal applied music area.
- Contact the Department of Music for specific requirements.
Entry Requirements: Bachelor of Music
- Complete 24 units and have an overall GPA of at least 2.00
- Students can be admitted to the B.M. degree program only after a successful audition in the principal applied music area and should contact the Department of Music for specific requirements
- Transfer credits in music theory, music history, and performance must be validated by placement examination
