Biography
Jegoo Lee is an Assistant Professor of Management at the University of Rhode Island’s College of Business, following tenured appointments at Stonehill College’s Meehan School of Business, where he also served in the Digital Humanities program, and Assistant Professor of Management at the University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business. His academic journey includes visiting professorships at prestigious institutions including Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations, Technical University of Munich (TUM) School of Management, Bentley University’s Hoffman Center for Business Ethics, and EADA Business School at Barcelona.
As a scholar-in-action, he bridges rigorous academic research with impactful engagement in academic and broader communities. As institutionalizing the Brownbag Research Seminar Series at the URI College of Business, he has fostered intellectual exchange across disciplines. His commitment to excellence in pedagogy and service has been acknowledged through the Thomas Chisholm Graduate Teaching Award and Bravo Zulu Award. Reflecting his dedication to advancing scholarship at the intersection of business, ethics, and society, he currently serves as the 2026 Program Chair-elect for the Academy of Management’s Social Issues in Management division, the 2026 Conference Chair for the International Association for Business & Society, and a member of Rhode Island State’s task force for employee ownership.
When he’s not writing or teaching, you’ll find him running long distances, listening to Asia pop and K-pop, strategizing over board games, or analyzing soccer matches. As an engaged dad, he learns from his wife and two grown children every day.
Research
Lee’s research explores the intersection of responsible management, including business ethics, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability, with strategic leadership, business-government relationships, and social networks. His work uniquely blends moral perspectives with empirical analysis to address real-world challenges.
