Biography
Steve Campo was born and raised in Rhode Island. He has an undergraduate degree in Managerial Economics from RIC, an M.B.A. degree from Bryant University, and a Master’s of Science in Accounting degree from URI.
Campo founded Rhode Island Green, Inc. which started as a commercial landscape and general construction company and evolved it into a commercial development and real estate investment firm. Steve teaches financial and managerial accounting at URI at the undergraduate level and has taught in the S.I.M.B.A. program. He also taught Entrepreneurship and Marketing management at Bryant University and Enterprise, Retail management, and Real Estate Finance at Roger Williams University.
In 2006, Steve was elected and served on the North Kingstown Town Council. He also was a Quonset Development Corporation board member. Currently, Steve is a member of the URI Accounting Advisory Board. Over his career, Steve has started many small businesses and has consulted and helped many other entrepreneurs along the way. Previously, after his first graduate studies, he worked at the Rhode Island School of Design as Assistant Controller and served as a Lecturer at the undergraduate level.
