Biography

Bonnie Kennedy, licensed as a CPA in Rhode Island, has 30 years of experience in the accounting profession. Bonnie began her career with a regional CPA firm, specializing in audits of manufacturing companies and not-for-profit entities. Later, as Chief Financial Officer and Controller of a closely held manufacturing firm for over a decade, Bonnie was responsible for financial reporting, tax compliance, government contracting, financing, and treasury functions.

In her current role as Senior Lecturer in Salve Regina University’s accredited business programs, Bonnie teaches accounting and finance courses and has published articles in scholarly journals. In addition to her academic responsibilities, Bonnie has taken on a variety of leadership roles at the University, currently serving as Assistant Chair of the Department of Business and Economics.

To maintain her connections with the profession and practitioners, Bonnie is a Group Practice Leader for Kaplan Professional Education, and a Discussion Leader for AHI Associates, presenting continuing professional education programs to accountants in practice.
Bonnie holds a BS degree in business administration and a MS degree in accounting from the University of Rhode Island. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Management Accountants, and the Rhode Island Society of CPAs.
