Matriculated M.B.A. students may chose to take waiver exams for the courses below. Each exam may be taken only once. There is no fee associated with the exams. MBA 500: Statistical Methods for Management
Open book, open notes exam. Calculators allowed. Test time: Maximum two hours. Suggested reading: Basic Business Statistics, Berenson, Levine and Krehbiel. Exam topics may include:
- Data presentation
- Probability Theory
- Discrete and Continuous Distributions
- Confidence Intervals
- Statistical Inference based on limited sample information
- One and Two Sample Inferences
- Linear Regression and nonparametric statistics
- Chi-square tests and other such techniques
MBA 504: Financial Management
Closed-book exam but you may bring a double sided piece of paper with notes. Calculators are allowed. Test time: Maximum three hours. The exam is made up of 30 multiple-choice questions. To pass, 22 correct answers are required.
