Part 1: How to prepare for a career fair or job fair

- Discuss map/ floor plan of the career fair
- How to navigate through your day (where do I stop first?)
- Where to go for help / assistance
- Personal Preparation
- What should I bring
- What should I dress like?
Part 2: Navigating the career fair effectively & what to do once I’m there
- Elevator pitch
- We will come up with / conduct a presentation on how to form an elevator pitch and why it’s important
- Give students a chance to construct their own elevator pitch (pair up in groups)
- Have students share / practice their pitches

Part 3: Post career fair strategies & what to do after the career fair
- Discuss thank you letters (maybe tips on how to send/ format those)
- Discuss resources on campus for resume building, mock interviews, cover letter building, internship search or professionalism building
- Resources include: Career services, Innovation Labs, College of Business Advisors, Clubs etc..
- Explain importance of visits to these resources (student perspective- DSP, SHRM, SCM)
