Biography

Alex McDonough has joined the College of Business as a full-time lecturer in accounting teaching undergraduates both financial and managerial accounting. He earned a Master of Science in Accounting at the University of Rhode Island in 2017, where he was a graduate assistant and tutored undergraduates in calculus and accounting. His professional experiences range from working at the Rhode Island Office of the Auditor General as an auditor to his role as an income tax preparer with Tri-County Community Action. He is currently pursuing the CPA designation and is interested in pursuing a PhD in accounting in the future. Alex plans to develop a graduate-level course in governmental auditing by 2022.
