Biography

Bud Lawrence is an Operational Excellence professional who has worked in many industries from mining to healthcare – teaching process improvement at all levels of an organization. He has over 15 years of experience as a Lean learner. Most recently he stood up an Operational Excellence program for a pharmaceutical company. This covered all Operational Excellence areas, developing an education program, developing the program structure, coaching the leadership team, leading all kaizen events, and mentoring other Operational Excellence professionals. Bud is exceptional at team building and relationship building. Process improvement is his passion. There is always a better way to approach a process or a problem.  

Bud has an undergraduate degree in business, and an MBA and MSSL from the University of Mary Gary Tharaldson School of Business. He also has a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from the ASQ body of knowledge and an Advanced Lean Training certification from the Virginia Mason Institute.  

Bud lives in Gillette Wyoming with his wife and son. He enjoys spending time with his family, camping, hiking, running, watching live sports, and outdoor activities.
