Biography
Dr. Paul Brayman is currently an Academic Advisor in the College of Business at the University of Rhode Island. Prior to joining the staff at URI, he was an Academic Advisor at Johnson & Wales University and part-time faculty in the University’s undergraduate and graduate online programs. He advised primarily graduate students, assisting them with course selection, major selection, academic progress, and serving as a resource and advocate for them. He began his career in higher education as an admissions officer at JWU in 2007 before transitioning to Academic Services in 2011. Prior to working in higher education, he was a certified middle and high school social studies teacher in Connecticut.
He holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from New England College, an
MAT in Secondary Education from Sacred Heart University, and a BA in History from the University of Rhode Island. His doctoral studies and research focused on Title IX sexual assault/harassment compliance in higher education.
