Jiyoon An brings an unusual background to marketing scholarship – educated in Europe, USA, and Asia, with a Master of Science in Marketing Management from EDHEC Business School (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales du Nord), France, a first career in strategic brand management, a Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (Emphasis in Marketing) from Texas Tech University, USA, and a bachelor of Business Administration (Cum laude) from Seoul National University, South Korea. Currently, she is researching and teaching at the University of Rhode Island, USA while pursuing doctoral studies in Marketing. She has presented at the Association for Consumer Research (ACR) Conference, American Marketing Educators(AMA)’ Conference, American Academy of Advertising (AAA) Annual Conference, Society for Judgment and Decision Making (SJDM), INFORMS Annual Meeting, Americas Conferences on Information Systems (AMCIS), and Institute for the Study of Business Markets (ISBM) Biennial Academic Conference, among others. She was awarded with the Best Student Reviewer Award Nominee at the Academy of International Business (AIB) Southeast USA Chapter Annual Conference.
Her research interests include technology marketing, social marketing, and brand management.
