Biography

Rae is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, and earned his BFA in fiber arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Before coming to URI, he spent a yearlong fellowship in the historic clothing office at Old Sturbridge Village and has been working part-time at a private textile conservation studio. His interest is in textile conservation and how we learn about the past through objects kept in collections.
