Biography

Maniraj is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in Finance, specializing in corporate governance and shareholder activism. His research uses machine learning models and textual analysis to explore investor influence and firm decision-making. He is proficient in Python, Stata, and SQL for empirical research.

His work has been honored with the Dean’s Excellence Award for Outstanding Research (Spring 2024). He has teaching experience in FIN 220: Introduction to Financial Management and BAI 111: Introduction to Business Analytics & Applications, emphasizing financial principles and data-driven decision-making.

Beyond research, he is interested in institutional investors, board dynamics, and the regulatory impacts on corporate policies.
