Melissa Husband is a dedicated and transformative leader with a profound commitment to public service. With a career spanning over two decades, Melissa has enriched the lives of Rhode Islanders through her strategic leadership, innovative thinking, and unwavering integrity.
Melissa’s journey in public service began with a strong educational foundation in public policy, management, and administration. This knowledge, paired with her natural affinity for leadership, has allowed her to cultivate highly effective teams and strengthen organizations significantly. Her strategic and empowering leadership style fosters an environment where creativity and accountability thrive.
Melissa has held leadership roles such as Executive Director of Community Action Partnership of Providence (CAPP), Deputy Secretary of State of Rhode Island, and currently serves as Chief of Staff for Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island. She has consistently demonstrated the ability to enhance organizational impact and drive mission-driven change.
As Melissa aspires to further her expertise through the University of Rhode Island Doctor of Business Administration program, she brings with her a wealth of knowledge and a passion for making a difference. Her commitment to excellence and her strategic vision positions her to contribute significantly to the academic community and beyond.
