Michael Ice joined the URI faculty after more than 30 years on Wall Street, primarily in the area of fixed income sales and trading. Mr. Ice began his career as a mortgage backed securities trader and went on to practice in most disciplines of fixed income, ultimately as Global Head of Fixed Income at Rabobank.  Mr. Ice spent his career in New York and London with responsibilities encompassing the globe. He was named Managing Director at Merrill Lynch at the relatively young age of 34, and worked at additional primary investment banks, including Drexel Burnham and Lambert, Bankers Trust, UBS, and HSBC.

Mr. Ice remains connected and involved with the hedge fund and banking communities, and is frequently quoted in finance publications.  He is active with the Rhode Island Banking Association.

Mr. Ice also serves on the Finance Committee of South County Hospital, serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the URIFAE and is the Chair of the Investment Committee for the URIFAE Endowment.
