Biography

Mileiry “Milly” De La Cruz serves as the Assistant Director of Professional and Executive Business Education at the URI’s College of Business, where she leads business development initiatives and cultivates strategic partnerships with organizations and employers. She is actively engaged in the community, facilitating
professional development workshops, recruiting for College of Business graduate programs, and building connections through networking and community events. A Providence native, Milly holds an associate degree in General Studies from the Community College of Rhode Island, a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Rhode Island College, and a master’s degree in Higher Education from Providence College.

Throughout her higher education career, Milly has held a variety of leadership and
student-focused roles. Prior to joining URI, she served as Interim Donor Engagement
Officer at the Community College of Rhode Island and held student affairs roles at Clark University and Bristol Community College, where she supported first-generation college students in achieving their personal and professional goals. Passionate about creating opportunities and making a lasting impact in higher education, Milly aspires to one day serve as a college president.
