Biography

As an alumna of the URI College of Business and former practitioner, Tanya Jones returns to join the URI faculty as lecturer for the Accounting area. Prior to URI, Tanya began her career in public accounting with Ernst & Young (formerly rebranded “EY”) in the area of Northeast Tax Services within the Providence office. Following EY, Tanya worked in private industry within CVS Health’s retail accounting operations before joining URI full time in 2016. Tanya has served in various roles within URI, including academic advisor and adjunct faculty for the College of Business while continuing to remain connected with the profession as a practicing Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for the state of Rhode Island.
