Biography

Tessa is from Laurel, Maryland, and earned her B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. She has worked as an environmental scientist and in various roles as a science educator, collaborating with professionals and community members ranging from kindergarteners and naturalists to engineers and construction site supervisors. Passionate about science communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, and sustainability, she is particularly interested in exploring the intersection of technology, purposeful design, and material life cycle in textile development and production.
