Biography

Walter Palm serves as the Director of Environmental Science and Compliance at the Narragansett Bay Commission in Providence, Rhode Island. In this role, Walter is tasked with driving initiatives that promote sustainability and renewable energy, improvements in water quality of estuaries and receiving waters, and being a regional leader in environmental laboratory analyses. Walter has worked at the Narragansett Bay Commission for 25 years.

Prior to joining the Narragansett Bay Commission, Walter served as a R&D Chemist at the American Superconductor, LLC.  In his capacity as R&D Chemist, Walter helped develop a second generation superconductive material that resulted in a patent for the application of superconductive material in electrical components.

Walter serves on several boards and is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.  In his free time, Walter enjoys cooking, traveling, and outdoor activities.

B.S. in Chemistry: Lincoln University, Pennsylvania

M.B.A. in Management: Johnson & Wales, Providence, Rhode Island.
